For starters, check with your doctor for a medical exam to make sure your if you can travel.
It is significant to plan your voyage and to note if you will change time zones, which are the types of food and if you eat at various hours of the day, and if you have anticoagulation prescription or other drug.

Inform your doctor of your upcoming trip and request:

1. A prescription for for your drugs or meds for emergency use.
2. A letter detailing your health care and what to do in case of emergency.
3. Instructions on how to adjust your drugs.
4. Instructions on how to adjust your medication and meal plan if you will be traveling across the country or out of the country.
5. Information about SOS evacuation insurance if traveling overseas.

When packing your medications, be sure you have enough for your trip plus one extra week's supply. And pack at least half of your medication into your carry-on bag and keep it with you so that it's easily accessible at all times. ( for several additional days in a country ).

Here's what you should pack:

1. Your drugs.
2. additional Batteries if you have an controler.
3. Medical insurance card.
4. A sheet of explanations to know how to join your doctor from the country where you will be (ask your doctor how best to reach him, at the office or by e-mail, should you have questions while traveling)
5. Prescriptions for all your drugs, and if you can it inform about where of provisioning exist in this country.
6. If you're traveling overseas, try to locate the nearest medical facility where you might actually go for care if you do get sick (i.e.,health clinics, or other preferred quality-of-care clinics or hospitals...).
7. If you're traveling with another person, make sure the person is aware of your health.
8. Just be sure to plan ahead and check with your doctor.
